Refund & Cancellation Policy

Last updated 16 September 2026

The short version

  • Nothing is charged today. TradeTattva Journal is free and collects no payment details.
  • When paid plans start: cancel any time, keep access until the period you paid for ends.
  • First subscription refundable in full within 7 days.
  • A lapsed subscription becomes read-only — never a locked door. Your export stays free and available forever.

1. Right now: there is nothing to refund

TradeTattva Journal takes no payment at present. There is no card on file, no subscription, and no charge to reverse. This policy is published in advance so that the terms are visible before anyone is ever asked to pay, rather than appearing at the moment money changes hands.

2. When paid plans begin

Perch is free during beta and is planned at ₹399 per month or ₹3,828 per year afterwards. Flight is planned at ₹699 per month or ₹6,708 per year. Stoop opens later at an indicative ₹1,199 per month or ₹11,508 per year and is not for sale now. Yearly checkout is not available yet. These are preview prices; applicable tax and the total will be shown before payment. No beta account is charged automatically. Payment will be taken through the selected payment gateway; card and UPI details go to the gateway and never rest on our servers.

Cancelling

  • Cancel at any time from inside your account. No email, no retention call, no form.
  • Cancellation stops the next renewal. You keep full access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
  • We do not pro-rate unused time in a monthly or yearly period. Cancellation stops renewal; access continues through the period you paid for.

If a renewal payment fails

You keep the access you have already paid for. If the renewal is still unpaid when that period ends, you have 7 calendar days of grace with the same Journal access and plan limits. We will tell you when the grace period ends. If payment is still not completed at that time, the account becomes read-only; you can still sign in, read and export your journal, and delete your account. A failed first payment or a cancelled subscription has no grace period after paid access ends.

Refunds

  • First subscription: full refund if you ask within 7 days of the first payment, for any reason. You do not have to justify it.
  • Renewals: not refundable as a matter of course. But if a renewal caught you by surprise and you have not used the service in that period, write to us — we would rather refund you than keep money you did not mean to spend.
  • Our failure: if the service is materially broken or unavailable for a meaningful stretch of a period you paid for, tell us and we will refund or credit that period. This does not depend on an SLA existing.
  • Duplicate or erroneous charges: refunded in full, always.

Asking for a refund does not change access while the request is reviewed. Once a full refund of the payment covering your current period is confirmed, paid access ends and renewal is stopped. You can still sign in, read and export your journal, and delete your account. A duplicate or older charge refunded while another valid payment covers your current period does not shorten that access. A partial refund or service credit does not automatically shorten paid access.

How to ask, and how long it takes

Email hello@tradetattva.com from the address on the account. We will respond within 3 working days. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method; once we release it, the gateway and your bank typically take a further 5–7 working days, which is outside our control.

3. What happens to your data if you stop paying

Your journal is never held hostage. If a subscription lapses, the account becomes read-only: you can still sign in, read every trade and note, and download the full export. What stops is writing new data and the paid analytics.

Nothing is deleted because you stopped paying. If you want it gone, you delete it yourself — see the Privacy Policy for exactly what that removes and how long backups keep it.

4. Free while in beta

Use during beta costs nothing and creates no payment obligation. Beta users receive at least 30 days' notice by email before Perch becomes paid; the planned post-beta price is ₹399 per month. A charge requires you to explicitly choose a paid plan and authorize payment. Beta accounts keep Performance and the What-if Lab at no extra charge on Perch. Cancelling or letting a subscription lapse never deletes what you have journalled: your history remains readable and exportable.
