Request account and data deletion

For TradeTattva Journal on web, iPhone or Android, email hello@tradetattva.com with the subject Delete my TradeTattva Journal account. You do not need the app or an active login to make this request.

Send the request from your registered account email. We verify ownership before deletion and aim to respond within seven days. Opening the email link only prepares a draft; you must send it. No data is deleted by viewing this page.

Delete it yourself in the app or browser

Sign in to Journal using your usual login method.
Open the account menu, choose Data & privacy, and find Delete account. Already signed in? Open Data & privacy.
Export a copy first if you want to keep it. Type your account email into the confirmation field, then choose Delete… and confirm.

Uninstalling the app or signing out does not delete your account. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. An export is not a complete restoration of every Journal feature.

If you cannot sign in or access your email

You can still contact hello@tradetattva.com. Explain the access problem and identify the account email. We will discuss ownership verification; we cannot delete someone else's account based only on knowing their email address. Do not send passwords, login codes, private keys or identity documents in your initial request.

What is deleted

Account deletion removes your account and associated records from the live Journal database, including login sessions, linked sign-in identities, imports, trades, profile, notes, reviews, plans, strategies and attachment records. Uploaded attachments are also submitted to the storage cleanup process. It does not delete your brokerage, Google or Apple account, or copies you have exported or shared.

Backups and other retained copies

Backups made before deletion may contain your records. They have a 14-day retention target, with hourly expiry checks; outages or storage failures can delay removal. Delivered emails, provider security logs and records subject to legal retention may remain outside the live Journal database. For subscription or refund questions, contact support or the provider through which you purchased. Account deletion is separate from uninstalling the app and managing a purchase.
